Very nice Razor! It looks and feels well built! It was definitely shave ready right out of the package! This is my second Ralph Aust, and I love them both!

I've been doing research on razors for the last month or so and finally settled on this razor. I love redwoods so this tipped the scales, so to speak. I received it a day earlier than expected and it is gorgeous. The scales are light weight and easy to maneuver. They're clean and even so the blade doesn't rub against the inside when opening and closing. The blade is extremely sharp and clean. It has that beautiful ping when you test it. It opens and closes smoothly. I prefer that it doesn't open with the weight of the blade, but it only opens to reveal about half of the blade. The jimps on both sides of the tang are a really nice feature for all grips and preferences. The only down side to this is that it doesn't come with a case that's worthy of the quality of this razor.

This razor is absolutely stunning from finish to shave. Originally, I bought the Spanish Tip with the black plastic scales, but the scales was to flimsy for me. Asked for a return and it was quick and easy. Spent a little extra on the Spanish Tip with Red Wood Scales and was blown away. Worth the money. Razor Emporium is the first place I go to for shaving products.
