The look of the rhodium finish is spectacular. The weight of the razor perfection. The shave for me is extremely nostalgic. My father taught me how shave with a very similar razor. This razor is a perfect for beginners and anyone who wants to go back to wet shaving. WARNING! Wet shaving is very addicting. Now I’m also looking to purchase the Gillette adjustable Fat Boy razor. I say don’t hesitate get back to wet shaving now.

You actually can't beat this made to order service to 1) let Razor Emporium find the exact Gillette razor model and year you want and 2) then revamp and guarantee it is of good quality, and 3) ship it to you at no cost (as of today, for orders over $70). Even if you find a razor on your own, I predict the price can't be beat. The restoration quality is well worth the price. There's one error in the description, currently. The 1940s style Super Speed was made from 1947 to 1954, not 1947 and 1951. I know because I ordered a 1953 (date code Y-3) and got it. The shipping estimate is 2-3 weeks, but mine was over 6 weeks. It was a gift, but I had planned in advance, so the delay was of no concern to me.

I had ordered the beautiful and very durable rhodium plating for a Slim and for the Fatboy but I wanted to turn a SuperSpeed into a MiLord with gold. Razor Emporium did a great job. It looks really good and offers a great shave. It’s definitely in heavy rotation.
