King R. Emporium!
Sourced from Gillette cannisters of the 1900's this scent is a wonderful complex mixture like none other! Masculine, and dark, light, and sweet, it is reminiscent of a better time. Men were gentlemen and 'vintage' was on the cutting edge.

The menthol and alum seriously help. I was a little skeptical of an alcohol based aftershave, But i was wrong, this stuff rocks. It burns then cools so quickly, and i have little to no razor bumps after using this stuff. I used to get terrible bumps and in the past it kept me from shaving altogether, now i shave every other day. Plus the scent is amazing, it matches the king r soap perfectly!

ordered King R. Emporium aftershave. store sent me shaving soap by mistake. did not answer initial email, and i hate to make a phone call. store should've just told me to keep the shaving soap but instead sent PDF of return label so i have to scrounge up clear tape so i can mail back. what a pain. lots of folks out there now selling wet shaving products.

I absolutely love this scent. I love aftershaves that pay homage to vintage scents. Not that I know what the original Gillette would smell like, but I'll have to trust me on this. Well, anyways, this stuff is awesome and I get a lot of compliments at work. You won't be disappointed, give it a shot.

I have to say I absolutely love this aftershave! I am a big history buff and love the older way of life. This stuff is a great nod to a blast from the past! This stuff might just have taken a top place in my shave routine! It is such a great manly scent and last long time! I must say I am impressed with the strenght and long lasting power of this aftershave! I put it on after shaving the night before and I was still catching whiffs of it the next morning! I would absolutely love to see a balm and possibly a non-mentholated version for fall and winter time. All in all I am in Love!

I originally bought my first bottle of King R. Emporium after shave in June 2015 and made a 5 STAR Review... I LOVED IT!! As I was about the run out I bought another 2 weeks ago and when I got home, I noticed it no longer smelled like that OLD SCHOOL AROMA!??! WHY?? If it ain't broke...don't fix it. Well someone FIXED IT!!! BAD MOVE!!! I called later the day (8/12/16) I bought the bottle to ask about the change and the woman told me she would call me back on Monday..that never happened. On 8/26/16, I went to the store and brought the two different bottles-the old and the new and the man (with the beard) at the desk smelled the two and said,"They are different." He had never smelled the old formula (that was sad) and that Phoenix Artisan made that change and that he likes to do that...WHY??? It WAS far better than it is now and would prefer to have the aroma of what what I first purchased BACK ON THE SHELF...WHAT A WASTE.! Again, "If it ain't broke don't fix it." I will use this bottle due to cost but when it runs out, I will be looking for something else. I am NOT SATISFIED with fixing something that WAS NOT BROKEN. To me now the aroma is average product at best-it didn't feel the same coolness or the aroma that pops...This change is no longer the original HOME RUN I said below but a SINGLE. If it was Phoenix Artisan who made the change, they need to UNFIX what they thought needed FIXING!

This after shave is a keeper for me and I plan to reorder it in the future. It has an old barber shop odor and it will wake you up when applied to the face. I love that bite that it gives when put on the skin. I have used it several times since I received it and it stays with me all day which I like a lot. It starts off strong and then mellows out to a solid good scent to last all day and into the night. I really like it a lot. Thank's for a great product.

Great smell not overpowering.

In my previous review, I mentioned the bottle was plastic, it's actually glass. Which, even though is aesthetics, brings it it up to an all around 5 star.

I wasn't sure what I'd be getting with this one. As a shaving conasuer, I've tried many items. When I interviewed the owner a while back for iRON MiKE Magazine, he mentioned Razor Emporium may be coming out with their own line. I'm relatively certain Matt's face dons the the front label on the typical old timey bottle you'd expect from these experts of the wet shave.
The Smell: Dog Fish Head Brewery did some real science one year and crafted a beer based on an ancient remnants left in pots from thousands of years ago. Razor Emporium essentially does the same thing with after shave, although I'm not sure how much science was involved. This IS your granddads aftershave. But "old spice" it ain't. Earthy, different and a hint of mint is what you can expect. The wife likes it. There is a cooling aspect and not an overwhelming abundance of alcohol (which is much appreciated) these are just a few are of its attributes.
Health: The essential oils are rad. It gives it the smell and if you subscribe to the whole essential oils stuff, perhaps some benefits to your skin. Make no mistake, lubricated/oiled skin is happy skin. The amount of alcohol seems minimal, yet enough to kill off facial yeast growth and disinfect any nicks you might receive. But let's face it, if you're shopping here, your a damn pro...or you should be.
The reason for a 4 out of 5? Plastic bottle instead of glass. (Aesthetics, I know.) And the regulator in the bottle tends to leak the product from the ring in addition to the dropper. A minor inconvenience.
Overall: Bad ass. Getcha' some.
