History: The Gillette Super Speed came on the scene in the late 1940's and ran through continuous production into the 1980's. In the 1950's Gillette tried to offer flexibility for shavers by having a Light, Regular and Heavy Super Speed with varying blade exposures and handle weights. This razor model is extremely popular with today's community because of its heft and close shave performance.
