Description
Reissue of the most famous models in the long history of the Boker Straight Razor. Already featured in the 1906 product catalog of Boker USA, especially high-quality models were decorated with this traditional lettering. The newly designed models with handles made from fine woods also come with the popular 5/8 inch blades which are laboriously made from carbon steel and decorated. Incl. certificate of authenticity and historic packaging.
The handle scales are made from shiny ebony, which suggests itself due to its robustness, high density, and age resistance, as well as for functional reasons. This fine wood handle is refined with the classic Boker tree symbol which is carefully inserted into the certified imported wooden handle. The blade is ground extra hollow with ridge.

"Honing starts out on a Chosera 1000 Wet stone were I begin to set the bevel. Once the bevel outline is finished I move onto the Chosera 3000 where the bevel is cleaned up and refined. Next its on to the polishing stage which starts out on the Aishyama 6000 and moves to the naniwa 12000. After the 12k, a perfectly good shave can occur. But we like to take it one step further and finish with a high polish on the Suehiro Gokumyo 20000." Eric, Razor Miester. After honing, the blade is stropped, oiled, and arrives shave ready! Please do not strop this razor before your first shave.
