There are better Synthetic Brushes out there.

Not soft enough for me. I have two of the other popular Synthetic Brushes. Both are great. I enjoy them and My Boar brushes much better. The Vanguard brush is like a old school Synthetic. To rough for me. Maybe some people like it. If it was more like my Boar brushes I would be Happy. I do not see myself using it at all.

    Great Brush

This brush lathers soaps very easily. It also holds water extremely well. It has some backbone but its surprisingly soft. With Catsle Forbes I palm lather, the Vaguard gets the job done quick and works a nice, thick lather. The brush stays loaded for as many passes as I need. When I use Mitchell's Wool Fat I load up right on the puck and it's also quick and easy. My overall experience with this brush has been top notch. It has performed well with soft and hard soaps. When I'm finished up, the clean up is quick and easy.
