Super solid razor really like how it performs.

If you are looking for a razor that will without cutting you to pieces, then look no further. This razor is practically idiot proof, and you get outstanding shave everytime. On another note, just wanted to say that Razor Emporium is a great company. Very helpful and respectful people.

I bought this razor hoping to get a smoother shave than a leaf razor i was using.and it didn’t happen. The razor burns my neck horribly and i tried different soaps,creams and razor blades with no improvement. They offer a 100 day return but my box accidentally got wet and ruined so i threw it away,i asked about a return and was offered 50%. I’ll just give it away first. I do however love the weight and color on the razor

I’ve been wet shaving for a while now and have used a variety of safety razors with mixed results. I experienced (bad) cuts, razor burn, and acne as the hair grew back. I tried different soaps, safety razors and blades, but the results were usually the same. It even got to the point where my upper lip would quiver in fear whenever I shaved against the grain. For context, I have thick, coarse facial hair and a good understanding of my hair grows.

I genuinely enjoy shaving and achieving a BBS finish, but I realized the real issue was my technique. Using the Henson Shaving AL13 (Medium) forceds me to use proper technique, in fact it's usesless if you don't, and it made a huge difference!
Now the razor glides as smoothly as a lightweight disposable razor. I pair it with Gillette Nacet blades and couldn’t be happier with the results: effortless shaves, both with and against the grain. I finally get the BBS shave I've always wanted without dealing with redness, cuts or razor burn. Plus, I've noticed a big reduction in post-shave acne.

I absolutely love the Henson AL 13. It's just a shame it took me so long to get it. Highly recommended!

Clean no fuss shave

Works great for daily shaving. I have all 3 Hensons and use the +++ model when I skip a day or two of shaving. The regular + model is good but requires too many passes on my stubble. The ++ model is the “sweet spot” if you have to choose just one razor.

I got my first shave in with my new Henson DE razor. I’m impressed with the way it turned out. The quality is top notch.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a double edge safety razor.

Perfect for everyday shaving

Best $70 bucks spent on shaving ever. Here’s a honest review from a skeptical head shaver. I was taught “heavier is better” False! The AL13 is crazy light and works great. “Slow and steady” Nope not me, I went fast and tried to cut myself. I’m sure if I did something stupid I could’ve cut myself - I shaved carelessly and did not. The AL13 has replaced my much more expensive S.S. DE safety razor as my go to - for both quick clean ups and slow “gotta be perfect” shaves. I’ll be giving these as gifts to my best friends, with great pride.

I was using a cheap double edged safety razor i bought from Amazon, and for years I always shaved slowly and carefully as the wrong angle would easily nick me and slice up my face. I always thought that was normal, until I started seeing ads for this and the almost unanimous raving reviews. They are not wrong. This thing is engineered with such precision that I now shave much more quickly, freely, comfortably and HAPPILY. I can even shave in the shower without using a mirror. This thing is worth every $ and will last a lifetime. It's more expensive than other razors, but considering how perfect it is and how it will probably last forever, the cost in the long run will be nothing.

Great razor for a close comfortable shave - Highly Recommend

I've wanted to get one for a while now but the price always made me hesitant. Now my only regret is not getting it sooner. It's amazing!

This is now my go to razor. Takes a little adjustment and the feel. Doesn't feel like it's cutting, but it does an outstanding job for me. I shave every other day of every third day and I do a 2 pass shave. When I'm done, I don't even feel like I shaved. My prior favorite was the Edwin Jagger 3ONE6.

Love it. Previously used the Supply razor. I like the wide selection of blades and ease of cleaning.

Better than I expected.

So far I’m loving this razor. Shaves well and hasn’t caused any irritation. I’d recommend this to anyone wanting to get into using a safety razor.

I've only used this razor 4 times so far, but I find it very easy to use. I love the lightness of it and the feel of the handle. The knurling feels great. A great feature of this razor is that the tabs of the de blade do not stick beyond the ends of the razor head. I got it in steel blue... the color is awesome.

As advertised. Clean, close shave. Have not had a nick or cut in three weeks which is a record for me. Best razor I have ever used and I have used many in the last 55 plus years.

This razor provided a great 2 pass + touch up shave.

The razor is super light and easy to zip around your face. Personally, I don't see this as a daily razor for me, but I do see it as a razor when I want something gentle to work with.

This razor is absolutely incredible! I don’t believe hype, but I do believe in results. A shave with this razor seems to last longer, leading to the assumption it’s a closer shave. There was no irritation and I have not experienced a single nick…and I’ve got a few bumps that get in the way. I highly recommend this razor with no reservations.

I have not tried the mild version of this razor, but the medium version delivers a very smooth shave. I’m glad I chose the medium version.

I recently purchased this razor just because it looked like an interesting design. After using it for a few weeks it has become my go to razor. It just seems to hold the blade better and has less jitter than some other razors. The blades it came with (RK) work great but I especially like it with my stock of Pol Silver blades. Highly recommended!

When my Henson razor arrived, I lathered up my new REX SUPPLY 1966 Shaving soap and gave myself a shave. Based on other reviews, I chose the MEDIUM Henson razor. Turns out it was the right choice. And, what a shave! Smooth!, no sharp edges, no cuts, possibly the best wet shave I have ever had! Delivery was in just a few days. Great shave! Great products! Fast service. Thanks Patrick!

Honestly I expected super smooth. But not what I got. I ordered the more aggressive version due to people saying the mild one is just that too mild. I guess it shaved ok but I got a lot of skipping as well as skin irritation. I usually use my Viking razor and it shaved so much better. I don’t know if it is the fact that you have to make more passes or that my skin just didn’t like it.

The old saying “less is more” came to fruition in my use of the AL13-M, TAN, Henson razor. I literally went from using an electric razor to a 5-blade razor, and finally to the single-blade, double edge Henson. Without question, 1 is greater than 5–or anything electric.

I only shaved with the Henson AL13 Medium once so far, and feel that it's a top tier razor. Even though it's light, very light, the machining of it is very precise and on point. I started DE shaving nearly 8 years ago, and had used a Merkur 34c since then, well until now. I think the Henson maybe my new favorite once I get beyond the learning curve of having to apply a tiny bit of pressure instead of letting the weight of the razor do the work. The 34c is still a good razor but may take more of a backseat role now that I have the AL13.

I started 3 hrs ago moving from expensive and not very good quality disposable blades to DE safety Razors using an entry level Parker model and blades from Razor Emporium. The switch was dramatic and haven’t thought of going back. With the exception of minor nicks I decided to upgrade to a better razor.. yes the Henson isn’t cheap but what a difference! And with the recommended blades not a nick to be found. Smooth and a pleasure to use. Highly recommended.
