Not Sharp, Not Smooth
I am relatively new to DE shaving and started with a plastic Wilkinson Sword razor and five blades. After using most of the blades I discovered I liked DE shaving and decided to upgrade to a DE89 and used my last WS blade. It went very well. I then purchased the Sample Pack here that included the Lord blades and was stunned at how rough the shave was with these blades. They lack sharpness but more importantly, they are rough, not smooth at all. I have more razor burn and irritation with these than the WS by far. I will not be finishing up the ten blade pack but will move on to the next blades in the Sampler.

My Mileage DID Vary
These blades just were not sharp enough for me, and at one point I felt that an old teaspoon would have shaved as well as these. My 3 pass shave left me raw and irritated, which I don't get with a sharper blade. I didn't have any nicks or weepers, but I didn't do any clean-ups because I'd had enough. Like they say, 'Your Mileage May Vary'. Mine did.

Great, Comfortable Shave
When I found Razor Emporium I tried the sample pack of various blades. That was the first time I realized "razor blades" have different levels of sharpness. In the sample pack I found several blades that were too sharp -- those literally scraped skin off my face. I also found some that just did not provide the close shave I like. Then I found the Lord Super blades. For me, they provide that right combination: They shave close without scraping off the skin. They offer exactly what the headline says, a great, comfortable shave.

Great PQR
The Lord stainless blades offer a great Price Quality Ratio (PQR) or bang for your buck. They are the equal of the Gillette Bleu blades I buy in Europe at a much higher cost. I'll happily keep buying the Lord blades.
