My first double edge razor, so I can’t compare it to others, but it is very mild and comfortable. I see why it is recommended so often for new wet shavers.

I have big hands and this still feels great and balanced. I am able to maneuver it comfortably.

I've never used a DE razor before and curiosity eventually got the best of me. After watching numerous shaving videos and reviews, I settled on the Merkur 34C. The price was good and it came highly recommended as an entry level razor. Having used Bic Single Blade disposables for most my life, the transition was rather easy. I guess it is considered a "mild" razor. So far, after multiple shaves, I haven't carved myself up once and have never had as close a shave.

Provides a very comfortable and close shave with zero irritation . Honestly I picked it from a line up just because it looked and felt good on my hand . I took to it naturally from the first shave and still love it today . Outstanding comfortable shave , excellent fit , finish and build quality . Can't go wrong with this one .
