I am fairly new to the DE razor world. I was using a cheap Chinese DE razor and not good! Researched razors for a good while and decided on the Merkur C42 1904 and Razor Emporium's very own shaving soap! It's the best DAMN shave I ever had. Love the barber shop sent!

I have been shaving since 1984 and I love this razor. As I mentioned it is my first DE razor and am quite happy with it. The handle initially seemed quite short but it makes sense when you use it. Build quality is very good and I quite frankly thought it would cost much more. The staff at RE is great and they pointed me in the right direction and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the time they took with me. I am an obsessive collector or accessories (watches, lighters, etc) and these razors will be my new hobby. Oh, and I like the shave, I am used to a 6 blade from the SCFM who are good guys and I like their business model but for me there is room for both in my bathroom.
