An amazing introduction into the world of wet shaving! Was hesitant on pulling the trigger for some time due to the nature of my sensitive skin. After watching a few of Matt's videos, I decided to jump right in with this kit! Holy sweet swirling pineapples am I glad that I did. The difference between cartridge/electric razors is night and day. A much closer, uniform shave and one that is infinitely more comfortable along the way. My skin has been thanking me as well! No more bumps, in-grown hair or having to redo an area 47.3 times to make sure its completely shaven like you get with cartridge razors. Individual comments: 1. Merkur Razor- Easy to use, highly adjustable which makes learning the process and what works for your face extremely easy. Nice aesthetic and very easy to clean. 2. Proraso Soap/Pre/Aftershave- Fantastic for mitigating nicks, burns and irritation in general. Nice mild scent and leaves the skin feeling great. Especially when you use the fabled cold rinse before applying balm! Seriously I can not express enough how much happier my skin has been over the past few months! 3. Razor sample pack: A great starting point of things to try. Good to be able to test the feel of several different blades and see what works best for my face. Was able to use ALL of the blades over the past few months and really helped deciding what will be best in the future! Essential to really dialing in the experience 4. Brush/Bowl- Looks nice and works well. The included alum stick does what one expects it to. Pound for pound the best all-in-one kit entry for those with sensitive skin/beards. Have several friends of different races that I have recommended try these and have been met with a very similar experience. Moral of the story- Your skin and wallet will thank you in the long run and immediate future. Don't over-analyze and go for it. Welcome to a new age of skin care! This product is good I did have to order the merckur progress long handle as I did not receive a mercur progress with the adjustable dial. Other than that all the products in the shipment was very nice and well executed

The equipment in the kit is solid & the Proraso products feel and smell nice and is capable of a comfortable shave. The catch is you have to figure out what works for you. I now find myself able to shave several times a week with very little irritation. A definitive improvement over my old Mach 3.

As a person who just got into wet shaving and with sensitive skin, I cannot recommend this wet shaving kit enough! The DE razor is high quality and is made in Germany. The pre-shave cream, shaving cream, and aftershave cream are from Italy (Big plus in my opinion). The astringent stick is from Spain and is useful for the nicks and happy little accidents. However, I wasn't able to obtain the shaving bowl since they were out of stock, but DJ was nice enough to offer me the Proraso shaving soap, which was also great so I won't really take a star down. The five brand samples of razors are also good for determining which blade works best for you. It would be nice if I had the shaving bowl, but I'm doing some more research for a great bowl in terms of heat retention and how quick in terms of lather. Overall, highly recommend!
