PLISSON 1808

Plisson 1808 | Russian Gray Faceted Badger Walnut Burl Shaving Brush

SKU: P955662.12

Description

The Russian Grey allows a stimulating brushing that exfoliates the skin in depth.

This brush is made of acetate. Lightweight and with a good grip. This model is proposed in size 12, standard, well adapted for daily use.

Manufactured in our workshops in France.

Tips for use

  • With beard soap: With your face pre-wetted (ideally after a shower), quickly rinse your badger under warm water and emulsify the soap inside the bowl (without crushing the hair) until you obtain a thick and creamy lather. Apply to the face in circular movements for one or two minutes to soften and straighten your beard hair sufficiently.
  • With shaving cream: Once your face is prepared and the brush is moistened with warm water, place a dab of cream on the top of the brush and soap the face for one to two minutes as described above. Some users prefer to apply a trace of cream directly to each cheek with the tube and then emulsify it with the brush.

Maintenance

To maintain the qualities of your beard brush for many years to come, we recommend rinsing it thoroughly after each use, to remove any traces of cream or soap and to drain it. Then rub it lightly on a towel before storing it upside down on a suitable holder.

Nice brush not as dense as Simpson or Kent with a floppy backbone

I used this brush for the first time - it is nicely made and the bristles are very soft with no smell at all. I soaked it overnight in soapy water and then used it the next morning. It created very good lather in the shaving bowl. The brush is not as densely packed as a Simpson, Muhle or Kent brush and it does not have a good solid backbone - rather it flops around one's face but is very soft and pliable. The brush holds a lot of lather and there was no shedding of any bristles at all. If you are looking for an ultra soft shaving brush then this is for you. Cleanup is a breeze and when hung out to dry, there is a nice bloom of all the bristles. Am sure the softness and bloom will increase with use.
