I recently purchased a 1950’s Schick Injector type G safety razor for $10 at a local antique shop and needed some blades. So, I purchased the Ted Pella Inc. blades, as well some Parker injector blades from another vendor, and new made-in-China (MIC) Schick blades from Amazon. It appears that the Ted Pella Inc. and Parker blades are identical. They both have white plastic containers with metal injector slides, identical patent numbers on the plastic container, and were packaged in identical white cardboard boxes but with different labels. The Pella blades are somewhat cheaper than the Schick blades (21 blades for $17). The Pella blades seem slightly sharper than the MIC Schick blades, based on a limited number of shaves with one blade of each. While the Pella plastic and metal injector mechanism works fine, I think the Schick’s metal container is a bit nicer. I cannot comment on the longevity of Pella as compared to the Schick blades, but with 60 blades, I’m well set for a while.
