The Parker 92R is my first DE safety. I'm a beginner who has used it for about a week, and I can say that it's a great starter razor since it doesn't really cut too easily but it also top-heavy so that you don't have to worry too much about applying the right pressure when using it. The safety bar does not expose much of the blade, so you should pair it with a sharper razor for best results, in my opinion. The design is great; the bottom is flat, so it'll stand vertically on its own. The twist-to-open head is really easy to use, although it makes cleaning and maintaining the razor a bit more difficult. Still, it grips razor blades tightly with little need to adjust them. Personally, I think the long handle encourages you to grip the blade incorrectly, and it's a little unwieldy, but I'm still learning. Still, very happy with this as a starting razor.

Since this is my first safety razor so I have nothing to compare it to. That aside I love this razor. It doesn't seem to aggressive and had been a great razor to learn on. It also looks good on my counter.

I really enjoy the style and mild performance of this razor. If you want an aggressive razor, this isn't for you. The only drawback I see is the handle. Good weight, but the grip gets a bit slippery with wet hands.
