This is exactly what I needed. I have a 1930's Gillette "New" Short Comb that I used to use every day. The handle was a ball end, and had that crack in it near the thread like most of them. It was fine until I dropped the razor on a tile floor and the crack got so big that it won't stay attached to the razor head. The new one looks perfect and fits perfectly. I bought this to replace the handle on my 1918 old. It had a small crack and the olds might as well not have knurling, in my opinion. This handle is very close, I think it be a tad larger diameter. What I really like is the knurling, very grippy!!
