This blade is sharp yet not aggressive, it’s best paired with an open comb razor in my experience as someone who has used different types of blades and double edge razors. For beginners this blade will be perfect in some cheap DE razor that you are experimenting with such as the Van Der Hagen.

So far the Gillette blades I’ve purchased are some of my favorites. This blade was smooth and got me through 4 shaves. Haven’t had to use my alum stick lately and that was a certainty previously. Good technique is most important but with a quality blade like GSB it makes for a great shave. Definitely recommend.
