Parker

Parker 55SL Slant DE Safety Razor Graphite

SKU: PRK55SLGR

Description

*New for Summer 2019* The Parker “Semi-Slant” double edge safety razor has the advantages of a slant bar razor (more cutting surface on each whisker due to the blade angle) without the aggressiveness and dramatic blade exposure associated with other slant razors. This razor delivers an incredibly close and comfortable shave.

Parker’s Semi-Slant safety razors are milder than the typical slant, combining the best of a slant razor and a conventional safety razor. Since the blade angle is torqued, this razor cuts the hair at an angle instead of straight on, resulting in a very efficient shave. The Semi-Slants are great for those with thicker, more coarse hair, as well as for wet shavers with sensitive skin. We recommended using very little pressure when shaving with our Semi-Slant for excellent results.

Razor Type: Three-Piece Slant Head Safety Razor
Weight: 2.9 oz.
Length: 4 in.
Material: Solid Brass frame with textured electroplated graphite, rose gold, or satin chrome finish for improved grip

    Excelente rastrillo

La construcción del rastrillo es muy sólida. El ángulo oblicuo corta más al ras y una vez que uno se adapta a este rastrillo, realmente siente la suavidad de la afeitada y el corte muy al ras. Es mi nueva afeitadora favorita.

Go to razor for head and face

I moved over to DE shaving from straights, so i only have used 4 DE razors so far, among them this, a rockwell 6s, king c gillette, and a timor 1371. I really wanted an adjustable razor, so purchased the rockwell at the same time as this, and i far prefer this razor to that one. So far it has worked great with both feather and astra blades, and i use it for my head and face. Gives a great shave. Would recommend to anyone, especially if you like a bit more of an aggressive shave.

What if the Merkur 37c had Better Knurling?

It would be this beauty, that's what if! You just know that if there's a popular Merkur razor on the market, sooner or later Parker will improve on it. While the Merkur 37c is a great razor and a step up from the 34c in terms of aggressiveness, the Parker takes that same slant design, lengthens the handle for shavers with bigger hands, and gives it knurling to give any shower shaver confidence enough to take it in with him. Now, it comparing performance between Merkur and Parker razors, there really is none on account of they are so similar. So it's the design of the handle that makes the Parker preferable, with its knurling. Whichever you choose for your collection, your face is in good hands, but I have to say that I love how the Parker feels in my grip.
