I absolutely love the scent on my husband. It's not over powering straight out of the bottle. It has a warm, welcoming scent. Love it!!!!

A long time wet shaver, I have been on a sandalwood kick lately as I enjoy the masculine scent. I use a couple of sandalwood body wash products and was excited to try this balm. After a couple of uses, I will say it is adequate, but not anything extraordinary. The scent is okay, but does not match other sandalwood products I have tried. Like the Old School balm, it seems to absorb into the skin very quickly, often requiring a second application. After drying, the scent seems to take on a chalky finish, almost like years old paint. I've also noticed that the ingredients tend to separate with oils at the bottom after sitting for a few hours - not really a problem, I suppose, as a good shake before using seems to remix it well. As with the Old School, the flow restrictor on the bottle top is a bit frustrating. I honestly can't say I'll try this one again as other scents are more pleasing.

I have tried both the Lavender and the Sandalwood balms and can recommend them highly. They are a nice complement to their soap. The balm is very thick and a couple tricks to using it are: 1 lay the bottle on its side while shaving and the balm will be at the mouth by the time you are done and 2 make sure your face is good and wet and just use a small dab. It will make spreading it easier. If you put it on too thick don’t worry it will absorb in.
