    Updated review

I wanted to do an update on my last review. I have now tried this razor with Astro Platinum as well as Gillette Silver and blue blades. I also used my go to soaps and creams, TrueFitt and Hill 1805, Antigua Barbearia and Taylor of old bond street. While it did perform slightly better with these soaps and the different blades, this is just not the razor for me. It’s simply too light for my tastes. Every beard and every face is different so that needs to be considered as well. If you like a lighter weight razor this might work for you. And with the right soap blade combo it’s not terrible. Just not for me

Trying to be fair but not a fan

I received this razor and wanted to try it based on reviews I read. Now, bear in mind, I tend to compare EVERYTHING to my Edwin Jagger. So I’m trying to be fair here. I loaded it with a feather blade(my go to blade), and granted, I tried an untested soap as well. Not sure if it was the soap, the razor or both, but on the very first pass I got TERRIBLE razor burn. So bad in fact I had to rinse that soap off, lather up with my TrueFitt and Hill, and change razors . I’ll try it again with a Astro Platinum and either the T&H or Antigua Barbearia because I want to be fair. But so far not a fan.
