Easily the most beautiful Gillette Razor ever created, the Pocket Edition razors marked a pivotal moment in Gillette manufacturing. This is the first time a razor could be fully disassembled and laid flat - so flat that it was like having a Barbershop in your pocket!

Gillette enlisted the help of the American Button Company for several years of production. This is not unusual as companies such as Gorham and Tiffany had also featured private label Gillettes. It is said that the sawtooth combs mentioned in the video below are from ABC, however the Safety Razor Compendium does not back that up and we tend to agree. There are a few case differences that are marked, so if you are interested in learning more about this fascinating model check it out!
