Boker

Böker Manufaktur Solingen | 6/8" Schildpatt 2.0 - Shave Ready

SKU: 140555

Description

The Boker tortoiseshell presents itself in a new look. The very elaborately worked handles are milled from the full material in the Boker Manufactory Solingen and look deceptively similar to the real natural materials. The 6/8 inch wide blade with gold-plated pointed back and scabbard blends harmoniously into the modern, angular handle shape. The extra hollow and ridge ground blade is made of classic stainless carbon steel. The nickel silver inlay and the double-sided serration are just a few of the new features. In addition, the third rivet gives the knife additional stability. With authentic Boker stamp in the blade bore, certificate of authenticity and historical packaging. Handmade in the Boker knife manufactory Solingen.

"Honing starts out on a Chosera 1000 Wet stone were I begin to set the bevel. Once the bevel outline is finished I move onto the Chosera 3000 where the bevel is cleaned up and refined. Next its on to the polishing stage which starts out on the Aishyama 6000 and moves to the naniwa 12000. After the 12k, a perfectly good shave can occur. But we like to take it one step further and finish with a high polish on the Suehiro Gokumyo 20000." Eric, Razor Miester. After honing, the blade is stropped, oiled, and arrives shave ready! Please do not strop this razor before your first shave.
