Omega's new alum stick is a traditional antiseptic and astringent. Use after a shave to close your pores and stop those nicks and weepers.
This alum block can work as a magic eraser for mistakes than happen along the way. Don't start wet shaving without one!

I’m new to wet shaving so I have a few cuts from time to time. The alum stick seals the cuts. The stick makes it easy to use. Since it’s small, I can use it for travel too. The price was very reasonable.
This alum seems to sting less than a styptic pencil and doesn't taste as bad when it gets in my mouth. I don't recommend tasting it on purpose as its still horrible. However it does stop the nicks from bleeding. Still nick myself sometimes on the 2nd pass. Great product that i wish i had bought when i just started wet shaving.
It's Alum we all know what it does. What's nice about this is it is small and compact. It's as much at home on your counter as it is in your Dopp bag.
I use this to give my fingers extra grip if the razor feels slippery from slick shaving soaps (like Stirling). I also use it for the occasional nick on my neck. I got a styptic pencil, but it is a bit fiddly to use and the surface gets rough after use. Not the Omega alum. It is easy to use, stays smooth and the container is neat.
This product will help you when you get Nick from shaving and also give you good feedback on how well you have shaved this is a must-have product and everyone's shaving bag
Great pre-balm astringent, as good as any I've used including liquids at a fraction of the cost of my go to Clinique.
It is a good product - goes on easy - smooth - stops the flow from the nicks. Best price anywhere and I have checked - will also last a very long time - I love the product dispenser and the feel in your hand.
I walked into the shop to begin my journey in the safety razor game and was told that the Alum Stick was a must buy. "You are just starting and will probably nick yourself frequently and this will help with healing and bleeding" they told me. And so, I bought it.
I have used this item a handful of times, but not because of nicking myself. And it does its job. However, with that in mind, it is not a permanent resolution and can only do so much. It's good for stopping the bleeding if you're still shaving but I would recommend following up with a topical ointment to help the healing process.
