Great feel, consistency and smell!

Nice! Went on smoothly, not greasy, and gave instant relief after shaving the face with a razor. The wife loved the scent and commented several times that the fragrance was long-lasting. One Caution: pour it slowly in your hand, a little goes a long way.

What a fantastic Fall/Winter scent. I can’t get enough of it….and my wife enjoys it a lot as well. I use it even as a lotion on days when I haven’t shaved :-) Agree on the bottle top regulator. There’s no need for it and makes it difficult to get at the balm. Not a deal breaker though.

I'm a long time wet shaver and have historically used a major men's aftershave balm that works wonderfully (German company but product made in Mexico). I wanted to get back to the smells of my childhood barber shop and decided to try Old School. After a couple of uses, I will say I do like the smell - very masculine and nostalgic. The consistency is good, but it absorbs into the skin very quickly - so much so that I often have to dispense a second round of balm to cover my face and neck adequately. This balm seems to cool irritation quickly and effectively. While I understand the need for a bottle top regulator, I'm tempted to remove it as it's too restrictive as other reviewers have noted. Otherwise, I'm very pleased with the product, but it may be a bit cost prohibitive just to enjoy a nostalgic scent. So I'll put it into a rotation with my Proraso and other balms and likely save it for special occasions.
