I went into the store the other day to pick up a new, styptic, pencil, and received a sample size of 1966 shave soap upon my purchase. I used it this morning, and was very pleased. It has a sweet/citrus smell to it that I really appreciate. The lather was outstanding, and provided a very comfortable shave. Another great product from REIX shave supply. This will become another soap in my regular lineup.

Perfect size for the shaving travel kit.

It's a very good soap. It lathers and lubricates very well. The scent came as a surprise as I was expecting something different. The 1955 soap has a very different smell. That almost has the smell of tripe, which make sense since it's made from Tallow. The 1966 accent is a citrus-y/fresh/kind of flower-y scent. While it's not my favorite scent for a shave soap, it's definitely still pleasant and I can easily see some people putting this as their favorite.

Tallow shaving soap is the best I’ve tried. However I am not a fan of the smell. It’s not bad, just not that good.
