    Premium Straight Razor kit

I purchased the premium straight razor kit and I just used it for the first time. I was very impressed with the kit itself. The people complaining about blades chipping are clearly not taking care of them. They are thin blades designed to cut hair of course they aren’t going to handle being beat around like a pocket knife. Anyways great product will do business again. The only complaint I had was the APO address I had it shipped to was not filled out like I put it in the shipping address. It caused a delay but most of you will never ship to an APO so go ahead and buy it already.

    Shop around

I bought the premium kit and they forgot to send the lather bowl but they sent one right after which was not a big deal so tried it and first shave was good but the blade got chipped right after so for that kind of money I was hoping to get a blade that was going to last but the soap and aftershave was really good but the wish the quality of the blade was better definitely going to look around for better options

    Try straight razor shaving kit

I've been wanting to get into straight razor shaving for a couple years now but never bit the bullet and got the kit. My problem with regular razors is I get lazy with shaving so my beard gets too long and I have to trim it first and shaving can take a while. From what I've seen, straight razors can get pretty pricey and considering I dont make a ton of money but still want to get into it, the $70 starter kit would be a good way get started. It was 100% worth it. The razor just glides right through my beard and I dont have to spend 15-20 minutes trimming it short enough for the cartridge razor to get it without getting clogged. Just wish you were able to get more than two good uses out of the shaving cream but hey it's a travel sized try it out kit for a reason. Already bought full sized cream, preshave, and after to use.

    Well Worth It!

I've been toying with the idea of trying straight razor shaving for years now and finally stumbled on this kit. I think you can't go wrong with this kit at this price point. I got the "most recommended" and am very pleased. The razor was definitely shave ready and all the items seem to be of good quality. I did also buy an extra stand to hold the razor and brush after having tried it and deciding I will stick with it. I hope the stand will help keep the razor dry and free of any rust. I must say, I was nervous. The prospect of holding a straight razor to my neck was daunting, but it's not nearly as scary as it seems once you try it. I've also been very pleased with how quickly I'm getting the hang of shaving with it. It definitely gives me a very smooth shave and I just like having that connection to the past, shaving the way guys did out here in the West 150 years ago. Also two tips from a beginner: keep the razor as sharp as possible and work on getting a good lather that won't dry out on your face. I soak the brush for a few minutes before adding cream to the bowl. I found the brush just sucks everything up like a sponge otherwise. I also highly recommend Razor Emporium's YouTube videos.
