In the first World War, Gillette was contracted by the US Army to produce Khaki Sets for our boys going over seas. They included a Ball End "Old Type" double edge razor, 10 blades and a carrying case. Not only did these sets serve the fine folks of the armed services, they also were sold to support the war effort and even donated by the Red Cross. When soldiers returned home, they were allowed to keep their Gillette razor - launching the already large razor company into an even stronger position for men's preferred shaving device.
We have worked to reproduce this setup with an real Gillette Old Type razor - satin finished to give it a clean and classic look. Included is a pack of 5 Gillette Platinum blades- one of the finest varieties that are still in production today. All of this wraps up for easy travel in the olive drab snap case - giving this shave kit a real classic feel.
