A reference source for safety razor collectors. This is a down-loadable version (v. 1.2) containing an updated PDF file that makes it easier than ever to browse and search through safety razor history. Requires a broadband connection and 200 MB of disk space for downloading. See examples in the photo window on this page. By far the best source of detailed safety razor information in existence.
An outstanding reference book on safety razors, it is a 'must to have book' for every collector!
This is an outstanding reference work on safety razors, extensively illustrated with color photos. The author obviously did an exhaustive amount of work to compile this. A great benefit to the collector community.
Great reference book with company history, patents, date codes, adverts and tons of illustrations and photos on every page. It will help you date any collectables you find and inspire you to search and collect things you didn't previously know existed. ... it’s razor porn if ever there was.
Directory information a lot.
But it is mostly superficial.
Although the author very great respect.
In short, I do not regret that bought.
A large file at about 260 megabytes. The resolution of the photos is higher than in the print edition which I also have. I just wish the information on the individual entries was more complete. Still a monumental work that must have taken thousands of hours to research and write.
After download back it up as you have a limited time to download it. Once downloaded I transferred copies to multiple thumb drives for backup.
A must for every collector
This book (more like an encyclopedia) is an excellent reference for collectors to aid in identifying razors. I didn't realize there were so many different manufacturers and models. I know I'll be referring to this book whenever I come across an unfamiliar razor.
I just purchased this book and have only skimmed through the pages, so I can't give an in depth review. But, I'm sure this is a volume that I'll frequently use as a reference.
Great job, Mr. Waits.
Se descarga y se vuelve a descargar y no lo puedes ver ya que sale error o sea una pérdida de tiempo y datos wifi
This book or pdf shows that there are a lot af safety razors. Really a lot, it's amazing.
It is nice to look in it and it gives some information and nice photo's & drawings. The quality is great and you can zoom into details without blur.
If you put a number for getting a page, you get another page so you have to scroll a few pages more or less. That's not so bad but not good either.
In general i find it very superficial, the information is poor.
I rather had more details about the constructions and kind of metals they used for the razors. Adresses where they are made might be interesting for historians but i don't really car about that, maybe because i am european and don't know most of the places. For Gillettes, this is absolutely incomplete. Same for Some other major brands that i have in my little collection. It is a bit frustrating.
For me it is like a encyclopedia rather than something where i can actualy look up deeply and that is a bit disappointing. However, i think that's the best there is in this matter. I also realise that the book i want would be one with thousants of pages, maybe i am just a maniac.
Thank you for your attention.
