I have $300 razors none shave as good as this razor. This is my go too number one.

Short story long. I bought this as my introduction to DE shaving after being tired of the crap shaves, and politics, of cartridge razors. I found I liked shaving with this but the Feather blades it came with were harsh and left me with nicks, razor burn and I had to start learning about shave creme/soap, burshes, preshave oil/gel/soap/, shaving styles WTG,XTG, ATG, hot vs. cold shaving, etc. Even though I read that switching blades can improve things I went off the deep end and purchased a Rex Konsul. I like the Konsul very much and experimented with at least 10-15 blade types finally settling on the Wilkinson Sword and Permasharp as the best blades in that razor for my face. Not wanting to waste money I wondered how this introductory Feather would shave with a Wilkinson and if it was worth re-gifting. So I used a Wilkinson Sword in it and shaved just as I would with my Konsul ( R.E. preshave soap, Zingari Man soap, cold water.) HOLY COW!! Now that my technique, and shave products are better, this razor gave me a shave that is 90% as good as my Konsul and using the this razors's agressive #2 setting (the one that cut and razor burned me the most with the Feather blades.) I cannot get my face as BBS smooth (a lot more touching up than the Konsul), and I had 2 very tiny nicks on my neck, and the razor burn was a little bit more, but all in all this Feather with a Wilkinson Sword is a worthy contender to razors that cost significantly more. It's just not an heirloom piece with all the plastic that's in it.

Liked the handle. Only has two adjustable levels.

This razor for the $40 spent will just blow you away. The $17 non-adjustable is awesome too. Smooth. Fits well under the nose.
